LaKisha Jones may not be the next American Idol, but she will have the dazzling grin of a star no matter what. Dental office manager Orieen Hope, of the Center for Cosmetic Dentistry in Orange, California, has convinced her boss to update LaKisha’s grin. Dr. Joseph Henry has recently offered to close the gaps in LaKisha’s smile with 10-12 porcelain veneers, a smile makeover that could cost as much as $20,000. While LaKisha will not be able to collect on this very generous offer until her commitments to Idol end in November (contestants are forbidden from accepting gifts), Dr. Henry and team say the offer is open-ended, and LaKisha may begin the week-long smile renovation process whenever she likes. Apparently, LaKisha is not the only Idol contestant to receive the gift of a new smile: a Beverly Hills dentist updated contestant Elliot Yamin’s smile after last season, as well.
